a 12′ diameter yurt — there’s metal (nails/screws) in the floor and roof — the walls are all lashed w/baling twine. W/more time and skill, I think we could do it w/no metal at all at all. It was very cheap. Recycled billboard material made the roof. The wood is all recycled, too… Maybe it cost $100, for fasteners, lime, etc.
